Scandinavian Lodge

The location is great, and the price was very reasonable even in peak season. We hadn’t been here in more than ten years, but it was every bit as clean and welcoming as I remembered. We spent ages in the heated indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub, and all of us slept like babies.

The customer service really stood out after our five-day girls' trip to Sister Bay. I realized at home that I’d left my expensive makeup mirror in the bathroom. When I called, the person who answered was kind and understanding, and said they’d leave a note for housekeeping and the manager to check once the next guests had checked out. I honestly didn’t expect to get it back, but three days later they called to say they’d found it and would mail it. It arrived today, wrapped with so much care. I’m very grateful and impressed by how considerate they were. During the trip, everyone was helpful and pleasant from the moment we arrived. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and well equipped, which we especially appreciated after long days hiking in the nearby parks. I’d absolutely recommend Scandinavian Lodge. They went above and beyond.

We could walk to downtown Sister Bay, and Piggly Wiggly was a short drive the other way. All the things we wanted to do, from the lake and fish boil to wine and beer tastings and pottery shops, were within 25 minutes. We loved staying here and would come back and recommend it to others. The rooms are comfortable, tidy, and have everything you need. The decor is old-fashioned rather than modern, but it suits the place, and everything is clean and well maintained. It felt like a dream come true, thanks to my Sister Sharon and her husband Rodney. I’d never stayed anywhere like this before. The place was gorgeous and had so much inside that it felt like a condo. It was a hundred times better than my apartment.
