Super 8 Sitka

The staff were helpful and nice, but the airport shuttle wasn’t available when I arrived. I’d prepaid online, yet they charged me twice, at a higher rate of over $200, when they asked for a card for incidentals. That made check-in take a long time. The TV cable box didn’t work, and there were no instructions explaining how to use it. The next morning, the toilet overflowed. 😐

I booked at short notice for a work trip. The bathroom is a decent size, with one sink and a comfortable tub that’s cozy to soak in. Both beds are comfortable. The wall outlets in my room aren’t easy to access and are in awkward spots. I could’ve used a closet instead of two beds. There wasn’t a fold-up suitcase stand, though I hadn’t asked for one, so I put my bag on top of the clothing shelf.

I rented a Queen room for a few days to get away from a cockroach infestation at my previous home. It was clean and comfortable, and gave me some much needed rest and relaxation that I couldn’t find in my old apartment. My only real complaint is that they don’t take cash in person, even when a debit or credit card is already on file. I digress.

The staff are warm and friendly, and everything else has been very comfortable. Housekeeping was top notch, and I’ve really enjoyed the stay. The internet stopped working one day into my three day visit, though, which was a drag. Otherwise I would’ve given it 5 stars.
