Historic Skagway Inn

We stayed in Dottie for a girls' night in Skagway and would definitely come back. It's right on the main street, so getting around town on foot is easy. The hot breakfast was included and delicious, and the service was excellent and accommodating. Yukoners, ask about the Yukoner discount. The room was gorgeous, just like the others we saw. The wallpaper and paint colors are beautiful, the flooring is lovely, and there are stars on the bathroom floor. The furnishings have so much charm, the beds are comfy, and the place was wonderfully quiet. It felt like a real historical stay, though we didn't spot any ghosts, LOL.

The rooms are on the small side, but clean, charming, and historic. Staff are fun and friendly, and the owner can give you a lift if needed. The included breakfast is marvelous, and the prices are very reasonable compared with the touristy ripoff rates elsewhere, especially given how far everything has to be shipped. It's an easy walk to everything in town. If you're taking the first train out, tell the staff well ahead so they can fit in breakfast and shuttle you over. Otherwise, take a later train.

Right on Main Street, so the location is hard to beat. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hot breakfast was absolutely delicious. The rooms are cozy and very clean, including the shared bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the WiFi worked well.

Had a great stay. The people working there were really nice, and the food deserves a shout-out: breakfast and lunch were delicious, maybe the best I had during my two weeks in Alaska. It's an easy walk from the ferry and airport, although they also offered rides.
