The pictures and crafts after the show were great. My daughter was so excited that she fell asleep on the 1.5-hour drive home. A lovely end to the morning. I found the Breakfast with the Disney Princesses after it had sold out, but got onto the waitlist. Diana Hartmann handled it efficiently and professionally. For a week, my three-year-old kept talking about going to “The Castle” to see the princesses. The performance was really nice, and when Elsa sang, the kids all joined in. Staff were kind and did their best to manage around 100 children. I was a little nervous about the red rope and metal stands, since kids kept tugging at them and I had to steady them a few times. Eventually I removed one rope because I didn’t want anyone’s child to get bonked.

We ate at several places on the property: dinner twice at The Tap Room, drinks and appetizers at The Lakeside Inn, the Sunday breakfast buffet at The Windsor, ice cream at the little ice cream place, and Danish, coffee, and a macchiato from the coffee shop on our last morning. Since it was snowy and bitterly cold, we skipped the outdoor activities. The indoor pool felt a bit cold to us, though the hot tub was wonderful. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely, with a comfortable king-sized bed, a spacious bathroom, a mini fridge, and a Flavia coffee maker. Bliss, our housekeeper, was so friendly and made up the room expertly. I’d highly recommend the hotel. Next time, I think I’d rather visit in the fall.

Corner Roast had amazing coffee, and the library bar was one of my favorite parts of our quick Christmas trip with my husband. The property looked gorgeous, all dressed up for the holidays. Our room was pristine when we checked in, and the bed was so comfortable. The food wasn’t bad either. We’ll come back in warmer weather and spend more time exploring the grounds.

Room service was my one gripe. There are a few places to eat downstairs, but they don’t bring food to the room. I only stayed one night. My room was cozy, clean, well kept, and nicely decorated, with the old hotel’s age showing in its decor. I didn’t try any activities, though everything on the event board looked fun. All things considered, I’d give the place a 5/5.
