Motel 6 Slidell, LA - New Orleans

Tonia, Melinda, and heaven make this place feel like family. They’re always smiling, treat you with a lot of respect as long as you give it back, and the rooms are spotless and stocked with towels and necessities. The sheets and pillowcases are changed and cleaned after every stay. I know how hard those three work, and I really appreciate them. Keep it up, y’all, we’ll keep coming back.

I’m done with this place. I’ve spent a few thousand dollars here over three years, but they don’t deserve my business anymore. I extended my stay through the super app, showed the manager the reservation, and my voucher said two beds, but he claimed I’d rented one. The app’s customer service also said it was for two rooms, so I had to jump through hoops to sort it out. I checked out on the last day of October and still hadn’t received my deposit when I called on the 11th business day. The manager said he wouldn’t return it because we’d stained the towels. My aunt and daughter showered, and although two towels had been used, there were no stains and we left the room fine. I had the same deposit problem the month before, though that time it came back 15 days after checkout. It’s always something at this location, and this is bad business. There are better hotels nearby for the same or lower price, with microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms and complimentary breakfast. This place has none of that and still looks for ways to keep your money. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Everyone here has been nice and helpful so far, and the rooms are clean with a good-sized fridge and microwave. I checked in at the new weekly rate, which is a great deal and has really helped with housing during this time.

We like staying here when we visit the New Orleans area. It’s close to the freeway and New Orleans, the room was clean and a nice size, and there’s a nice pool. The new fridge and microwaves are a big plus. I think there’s a new manager, and what a difference that can make to a hotel.
