Sleep Inn & Suites

It’s an older hotel, but convenient for the price. The walls are thin enough that you hear nearby conversations and the trains. It was clean enough, though breakfast was lackluster and the fitness equipment wasn’t in good shape. There are other choices around.

The front desk folks were always nice, and breakfast was great every day. Clean rooms, comfy beds, soft pillows. They also put out excellent cookies at 5:30 p.m.!

We already knew this was a nice place to stop, having stayed here before. On our way down to Florida, a bad East Coast winter storm kept us here for the last two nights. What stood out this time was the staff. Manager Nickie and housekeeper Chrissy went out of their way to make everyone stranded by the storm comfortable. Those two women didn’t go home for the two days we were there because of the storm, while the other employees had called in. They stayed friendly and pleasant even after being away from home for days. You don’t see that kind of dedication much anymore. Thank you, Chrissy and Nickie. Sleep Inn, give these women a raise!

The receptionists were great, especially Holly. The only small drawback was the third-floor hallway carpet, which looked dated and smelled a little musty, like wet dead cat fur. It didn’t put me off the stay.
