Three weeks after our vacation, I still hadn't gotten my security deposit back. When I called, they said I had to be there in person to receive it. We were hours away from home, so that's incredibly inconvenient. If they'd explained this before we booked, we'd have stayed somewhere else. It's February now, and I still haven't received the deposit. My husband and I arrived at check-in time to find the door locked and nobody at the front desk. A note on the door had two phone numbers. The first got no answer; the second called me back after about 3-5 minutes and said they'd be there in 10-15 minutes, so we were eventually able to check in. When we went to pay, they said they only accepted credit cards and also required a security deposit to make the refund easier. None of that had been stated in the reservation. The place is run incompetently. Stay far away.

The first night of my two-night stay seemed fine. On the second, my elbow started itching. After I got home and unpacked some of my things, I noticed the telltale pattern of bedbug bites. I'm 100% sure that's what they are, since I had them about 10 years ago. I'm praying I didn't bring them into my house.

The bathroom had been newly remodeled and did its job. The towels seemed clean and were big enough, and the AC worked great all night, keeping the room at a brisk 65 degrees, just how we like it. Checkout at the front desk was super easy. For the price, it wasn't bad, and I'd recommend it if all you need is a cheap place to sleep. There's no desk or place to eat, so this is a room for sleeping, not hanging out. My fiancée and I booked one night on a Friday because other hotels and motels nearby cost much more. The room was small and basic, but all we needed. I arrived shortly after check-in; the gentleman at the desk was kind and gave me the Wi-Fi password. Parking was easy, and the hotel is right next to a gas station. The bedding was very worn and needs replacing. Broken electrical outlets made it hard to charge our devices. There were a few burnt-out light bulbs, and the room needed deeper cleaning. Ladies, there's 2-in-1 and lotion in the shower, so bring your own conditioner if you need the real thing. The bed was comfortable, and room 5 felt modern and was really tidy. It isn't fancy, but it suited us just fine. The truck traffic on the road can be noisy, so light sleepers may want earplugs. Good value for a pleasant stay. I'd come back.
