Candlewood Suites Smyrna - Nashville by IHG

We love staying at this Candlewood and have tried them all over middle Tennessee, but the staff here are especially sweet and delightful. They’re always smiling and ready to help with whatever you need. Kacey on the night shift at the front desk is such a kind soul and a hard worker. She’s always busy, yet makes sure I have everything I need. Candlewood is lucky to have her. Great hotel, great staff.

This was our second time at a Candlewood, and after a poorly maintained one near Orlando, Florida, we spent much of the drive north wondering how the Nashville location would be. We were really pleased with the cleanliness, service, and hotel overall. Since we’re IHG members, the pet fees were waived, which was a nice perk. This was our last hotel night of a seven-day trip, and a real relief. We’ll be back!

The rooms are consistently top notch, and the cleaning staff do a great job. This pet-friendly IHG hotel gave us a five-star stay. The Front Desk Team were amazing and went out of their way to help. I can’t say enough about the experience here. It deserves more stars than its rating.

Aside from these problems, the stay was nice, and having your own cupboard and sink for preparing food and drinks is handy. Communication from staff could be confusing. They extended my stay without confirming with me, and told me something they couldn’t actually do. I could have used the website to earn points for my nine-day visit. The systems malfunction fairly often, and I saw a cockroach crawling beside the elevator before I got in. The manager didn’t want to offer any compensation, even points, and said I’d booked through Expedia, though I used an honor society website, which is different.
