We had a great stay in Snowmass. The unit was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and the service was excellent with no hassles at all. For getting around, it’s about a five-minute walk to the Village, three minutes to the Gondola, or a quick ski down to the lift.

This review is for the Enclave at Gulf Shores, not the Enclave at Snowmass. The condo was clean and had the necessities for a good trip, and shops and places to eat were within walking distance. Vacasa was easy to deal with, answered all our questions quickly, and we had no issues in the condo. I’d rent from Vacasa again. Parking was the catch: we were told there were two spots for our room, but they aren’t guaranteed. The overflow lot across the street was $75 a night, so get there early if you want to find a spot.

We enjoyed our stay, and the condo was clean and well located. There were several maintenance issues, though: broken tiles in all the bathrooms, a broken ice maker, and some broken balcony furniture. The deck seemed to be under repair, with new railings but wood where the glass should be. Plastic bags stuffed at the bottom of the bedroom balcony door kept it from opening. The outside pool was being built, so the ramp to the beach was closed. There’s another ramp next door, so that wasn’t too bad.

The ocean view from the 10th floor was great. Parking was very limited, and overflow parking cost $20 a night. The two key fobs for the parking spaces under the tennis court were really important. I believe only the suites get them.

We’ve been coming to Snowmass for 25 years, and this was easily our worst lodging experience. Our family of seven, from a two-year-old to grandparents, rented a four-bedroom condo at The Enclave for a week. It was nice, though the kitchen was sparsely furnished, which wasn’t a deal breaker. What ruined it was the loud music and parties from the unit above us on four of our seven nights. We couldn’t relax in the evenings or get the sleep we needed to ski the next day. The night staff didn’t protect the peace, and when we asked the manager on duty to act, he sided with the upstairs unit. We weren’t the only guests complaining. Eventually we called the Snowmass police, which caused more disruption but did solve the problem. Our stay remains a bitter memory of what could have been a much better trip to beautiful Snowmass. Sadly.
