Motel 6 Snyder, TX

Snow and ice left me stuck in Snyder while I was driving my truck, so I booked here after seeing reviews for the Baymont across the street. The room was better than I expected, and the front desk staff were really friendly. This is easily the nicest Motel 6 I’ve stayed at, and I’d come back.

This is the best Motel 6 we’ve stayed at. The indoor pool is beautifully designed, with lounge chairs around it, and the rooms open onto interior hallways facing the pool. Our room was large and laid out nicely. The shower was hot with great pressure, and it was easy to take the dog out for a walk. They could call it Hotel 6.

The pool and hot tub were closed during our stay. The pool area looked clean and inviting, and its closure did make things quieter, but if it reopens I’d expect more activity since most rooms face it. We still had a restful visit. The room was spotless, the king bed was comfortable, and there was a microwave and a big fridge. The AC and heat unit is set into the bathroom wall, so there’s no window facing the parking lot, which gave us more privacy. Staff were very welcoming and check-in went smoothly. It’s pet-friendly, though there’s no designated pet area, and it’s easy to reach the highway with just a short drive into town. I’d give it four stars because of the closed pool and hot tub.

Hotels 6 tend to have a bad reputation, but the ones I’ve stayed at have been good. This one is the best so far, newly renovated, with very hot shower water.
