The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly. She had lots of suggestions for things to do nearby. There are plenty of places to eat close by, walkable if you have the energy, and a park down the road for walking dogs. The rooms are dated, though some things have been updated. I liked the four-cup coffee maker, microwave, large mini fridge, and little sofa with a chaise. There isn’t much dog-walking space on the property, but there’s an empty lot next door, a grassy area by the street behind the hotel, and the big park nearby. No complaints from me. It’s definitely simple and no-frills, but it does the job. I’m not sure why it gets such low reviews. I’ll stay here again in spring on my way home.

The buildings are clearly old, though they’ve put some effort into updating and modernizing them. They spaced guests out well instead of putting everyone in rooms right next to each other. The free WiFi was fast enough to stream a movie. Good for what it is.

The room had just been remodeled, and the shower was big and slicker than snot. The pool was empty at the end of June. The bed was so hard the tile floor might’ve been softer, and there were ants in the bathroom.

I’d stay here again. My room, number 30, had recently been renovated, with a new AC and TV, and it was clean. The pool was closed. I was here for one night on the way to visit VLA-Very Large Array. Socorro is a very small town, so anywhere here is a good location.

It was about what I expected. The place is older and well used, but my room was clean and the bed was good. Lots of convenient food choices nearby. For the price, I can’t ask for much more.
