Our guests are still telling us it was the best wedding they’d ever been to. Wayfarer Resort gave us the beautiful, intimate setting we’d imagined, and the manager was thoughtful and responsive, making every wish come true. The moment we stepped onto the property, we felt ourselves exhale and slow down. The river, trees, and quiet made it feel like pure magic.

The treetop cabin was spacious, with plenty of cookware and cutlery in the kitchen. I loved sitting on the balcony, looking at the stream that runs beside the cabin, and the river is within walking distance. The views are great, with lots of trees, and the owners are friendly and helpful. It was a nice stay. There’s also a small farm a few miles away where you can get fresh fruit and vegetables.

My family has stayed at Wayfarer Resort for years and we’ve never had a complaint. The cabins are very well kept, and the scenery is beautiful, right alongside the Mackenzie River. You can hike and fish if you’re willing to drive, and Eugene/Springfield is about a half hour away. It’s a consistently great place to stay and get away from it all to relax. I’d seriously recommend it to anyone looking for an outdoor vacation.

It was really hot when we got there, so we hung out in the nicely air-conditioned cabin for a few hours before heading to the refreshing river. I got startled by a duck while walking past the pond. Kids 10 and under can fish there, and the pond has poles available. We played badminton that evening, with equipment provided, and there are horseshoes, tennis courts, and basketball hoops with balls too. We had a really good trip. There’s a hidden gem along the trail next to cabin 5, I believe.

The studio cabin was clean and had everything we needed, including dishes, but this isn’t really the place for you if you need internet. The resort is in a great location, close to Eugene and to all the national parks in the mountains. The resort itself was great, with hands down the best customer service I’ve ever received.
