Caribou Lodge and Motel

The basement dorm rooms are the cheapest option, with recently renovated bathrooms and showers down the hall. They're very basic, but fine if you just need a clean place to sleep. The Wi-Fi was strong, though the fridge was switched off and took a long time to cool down. It worked well for an overnight stop and left me feeling refreshed for the rest of my journey.

A car problem left me stranded in Soda Springs, and Caribou Lodge felt like a home away from home. The front desk staff were so kind and let us check out late because they understood what had happened. I did get uneasy about a hole in the bathroom, though. I hope they can cover it so it doesn't look like a place for someone to peek through.

I slept surprisingly well here, even though I usually have a hard time sleeping away from home. The memory foam bed was comfortable, and the room stayed nice and cool with its own AC unit that I could set how I liked. It was small, clean, and cute, with a cabin feel, plus a mini fridge and freezer, microwave, and a small shower with strong, warm water. The staff were friendly, the price was good, and they let me check in early since I wouldn't be back until after they closed. The outside looks a bit run down, and the walls are thin enough that you can hear neighbors. There's also a TV and Wi-Fi, though I didn't use either. I'd definitely stay again.

We stumbled across this place while passing through, and I'm glad we did. The room was beautifully decorated and really clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable with its adjustable height. The front desk staff were sweet and accommodating, and breakfast was just right. Such a delight. I'd happily stay again.
