Kronborg Inn

I really like the Danish look of this hotel, and the room was clean. The towels didn’t seem thoroughly washed, though. There’s an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, but we didn’t enjoy them with the weather being so freezing 😅.

U.P., the manager, was friendly and accommodating, and made our stay memorable. The inn is at the entrance to Solvang, about a 10-minute walk from the city center. The rooms were updated nicely and clean, with a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Guests can get coffee and water throughout the day, and on weekends there are complimentary danishes from Olsen's. There’s also an ice machine and snack vending machines, though the drink machine is elsewhere on the property.

Upali made a cancellation and refund completely stress-free for me. He was professional, kind, and understanding, and made sure the refund was handled smoothly. That kind of customer service really stood out, and I’d happily stay at the Kronborg Inn in Solvang again. I highly recommend it.

On Christmas Day there was a severe flash flood warning, and with the heavy rain and safety concerns, we asked to cancel our booking. The hotel refused a free cancellation and charged us the full amount as a no-show. It felt like guest safety didn’t matter to them and that they cared only about MONEY. I found that attitude extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. There are many much better hotels in Solvang.
