Royal Copenhagen Inn

We came for Julefest and the Christmas festivities, and being able to walk to nearly everything in Solvang made exploring easy. Our room was spacious, clean, and well kept, and the staff were friendly and polite throughout. Breakfast is ordered ahead and brought to your door, rather than served in a dining room. That wasn’t what we expected at first, but it wasn’t a big deal with so many breakfast places around town. Royal Copenhagen Inn was good value for the price. I’d give it an 8-9 out of 10 and would recommend it, especially for a holiday visit.

Right in the middle of the shops, this is a quaint little Inn. It was extremely clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. They bring a simple continental breakfast to your room. I’d highly recommend it.

We stayed in early March. The mornings were foggy and around 40/50°, but the highs reached the 70s and 80s. The rooms had plenty of space, and the location was one of the best for seeing this beautiful town. Shower water was hot with good pressure, and the bathroom floor wasn’t cold underfoot.

Free parking, including handicap spaces and access, and a location within walking distance of everything were the main pluses. It’s also close enough to walk to the outdoor theater. The breakfast was free, and you place the order at check-in. But the desk clerk didn’t feel very friendly or welcoming. It’s a two-story inn with poor insulation in the walls and ceiling, so we heard yelling and heavy footsteps upstairs at night. We called the night clerk about it. The next night, the TV stopped working, and the room had a strange smell.
