Solvang Alisal Vacation Cottages

The star rating doesn’t make sense to me. This is listed as a 2-star hotel, but it was way better than any 5-star place we could have stayed at. The property is cozy and quiet, right off Solvang’s main street, so everything we wanted to do was walkable. Parking is private, off-street, in the back alley, and felt safe and well lit. Sitting on the porch, we saw passers-by double-take at the property and take a pamphlet from the front gate. Our unit had a bedroom, living room, bathroom, and front porch, with everything we needed already there: plates, extra pillows and blankets, toiletries, kitchen utensils, microwave, toaster, T.V., stove, and sink. Everything was VERY clean and well maintained. The sheets smelled freshly laundered, and the couches were comfortable. This worked especially well for traveling with a toddler, since they could run around out front and we could cook food for them. We won’t stay anywhere else next time we’re in Solvang. Thank you!

The cottage was cozy, clean, and lovely, with beautiful furnishings. It’s an easy walk to downtown Solvang, CA. Management left a Danish pastry as a treat, which was so nice. Highly recommended!

Betty kindly let us use the space for our small wedding Ceremony, the first one at the cottages. Their hospitality was amazing throughout our stay. The Alisal Vacation Cottages were perfect for us, centrally located and within walking distance of everything in town. I’d definitely recommend them for a stay in Solvang.

Our 94yr old mom was comfortable and safe in the handicap cottage, and got to enjoy Solvang again. The hosts made us feel welcome from start to finish. It’s a beautiful place that feels like home, right by the fun shops and delicious dining. This is the only place I’d stay in Solvang!
