The little lobby full of plants and the Flight 93 memorial for Sept 11th have stayed with me. I was here in 2016 on my first trucking run with my trainer for Hogan transports from St Louis MO. A trailer wheel bearing overheated and caught fire on the turnpike, leaving us stuck in shanksville for four or five days. The place had a cool retro feel, and I’m glad to hear it’s still that way. A kind gentleman accepted our company checks, which were about our only way to pay since most big chains wouldn’t take those particular checks. Breakfast wasn’t much, but I appreciated the gesture. If I’m back in this part of Pennsylvania and need a room, I’d stay here again.

Roger at the front desk made me feel like family. He was kind, respectful, and treated me so gently. The lobby is a lot of fun, with several little fountains and even tiny koi fish in one. The rooms are a quiet, clean little trip back in time, dated and campy in a way I found charming. His service was superb.

The breakfast has a generous range of choices, and the rooms stay quiet. I’ve never heard anyone next door or outside. The rooms are older, but well kept, and the staff really pay attention to your comfort and needs. I’ve been coming for over five years, and they make me feel like part of their “Family Of Guests”.

Roger is a hoot, and he always makes sure I have fresh towels and whatever else I need. The koi fish by the front desk are adorable and bring back a nostalgic feel. The room is cozy, clean, and has a nice-sized TV. For the price, it’s hard to beat, especially with shops and restaurants close by. 🙌
