Super 8 Motel - Somerset

My family and I stayed at four hotels in Somerset, KY this past month, and for the price and location, Super 8 by Wyndham is one I’d tell people to consider. The rooms were clean and calming, and the service was great. Breakfast wasn’t really much of a breakfast, though. I’d rate it 4.25 stars. Nice job, guys.

The TV was great and the room was nice. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. We accidentally picked a night when there was a car show, so it was noisy all night, though that wasn’t the motel’s fault. Luckily, there were enough good things to watch that I didn’t notice it too much.

It’s a basic motel, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed, which was all I needed. Breakfast was sparse, and they didn’t have decaf, the only thing I wanted. The desk guy was pleasant. Getting into the parking lot takes a bit of winding around.

The room was comfortable, but breakfast was awful. At 8 a.m. there was a pot of coffee, an orange drink that wasn’t orange juice, one granola bar, and four apples. I’d just stayed at several other Super 8s, and their breakfasts were much better, with muffins, fruit, different juices, and other things depending on the location. This one should just say there’s no breakfast and send people elsewhere. Sorry, folks, that’s how it is.
