From booking with Miss Cassandra to meeting Miss Kim, the facilities point person, I had pleasant interactions throughout. The kitchen is top-notch and lived-in, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I’m a freelance writer and have stayed in hotels, motels, and bed and breakfasts during trips to St. Louis, Glasgow, Montana, Colorado Springs, CO, Cheyenne, Wyoming, Washington, DC, and Ann Arbor, MI over the last year. Art & Lodging stands out as a top-tier place. It has the cozy, classic feel of an authentic Bed & Breakfast, with comfortable bedroom decor, house furniture, and amenities. The price was a bargain for the European hotel style and class.

The hosts were happy to answer our questions, and check-in and checkout were super smooth. The kitchen looked nice, though we didn’t have time to use it or the common room with the television.

The orange room was cozy and comfortable, just right for the quiet day of contemplation I needed. Booking and confirmation were seamless, and they kindly worked with me to allow an earlier check-in. I’d highly recommend booking with Art and Lodging.

I wish my business trip had given me a reason to stay longer than one night. Art and Lodging is a beautifully restored Victorian, just steps from downtown restaurants and sights. I dropped my bags and went for a run along the St Joe waterfront, which was very convenient to reach from A&L. Everything was spotless, and they’d thought of what you need during a stay. I especially liked the local art around the house, the well-stocked kitchen, and the common area, where I ate dinner, caught up on work, and chatted with another guest. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in town.

The room was comfortable and clean, and booking was simple. I only found the place because my usual hotel was full, so I’m glad that happened. I’ll probably book here again on the same trip next year. Thanks!
