Quality Inn & Suites South Bend Airport

When we arrived for the Notre Dame football game, I found out the third-party agent had canceled the booking without telling me or returning my money. That’s a separate issue, but I’d never use or trust ALGOTELS as a booking agent. The management here got us a room anyway and matched the price I’d booked three months earlier. Awesome experience. I can’t recommend the hotel and staff highly enough.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the breakfast sausage was undercooked. The coffee was so weak it barely tasted like anything. There were no do-not-disturb signs, and on our first night, someone working there tried to come into our room twice after 2:00 in the morning while I was at work. Both the man and woman running the place were rude. Even the worst Roche motel would have been better. Don’t waste your money here. I’d give it zero stars if the rating system allowed it.

I paid $286 in cash plus a $50 security deposit, and now they’re telling me I can’t get either amount back until I speak with a manager on Friday. It’s Saturday today. I don’t feel safe staying here, but I’m stuck because I don’t have another $200 or more to go somewhere else. I don’t know about anyone else, but how is this America? Wait, it isn’t.

I paid $246 expecting a jacuzzi based on the pictures, but there wasn’t one. I tried to take a regular hot bath instead, only to find the tub wouldn’t hold water. After I explained this in the lobby, she gave me a rubber stopper. I told her I didn’t care about the shower, I’d paid for a few hot baths because our tub at home is broken. The water pressure was so low it took 30-45 minutes to fill a regular tub. At 3:30am, the toilet backed up for no apparent reason, with no extra toilet paper or anything. When I told the desk clerk, he asked if I needed a plunger. I needed something, the water was up to the top. He went to the back and returned with a nasty, used plunger. I had to go back and forth to the lobby about four times in an hour and a half. That’s pretty lousy. Apparently a number two accident on the bed sheet costs $250. I’d give this negative 20 stars if I could.
