Delta Hotels by Marriott Somerset

Whenever I'm headed to Piscataway, this is where I book. I've stayed here several times, and the location is great. I watched a game in the bar, and the cheesesteak and everything else we ordered were appetizing and spot on. The bartenders are cool and check on the bar without hovering. The restaurant and bar have great staff, and so does the entire hotel. Employees are amazing. Even events here have a great atmosphere. Marriott does it well. I'd give it five stars. If you see a bad review, that customer was probably having a bad day.

The hotel was clean and nice, but the service made the stay awful, especially for the price. The person who checked us in seemed miserable, the restaurant staff acted bothered by customers, and the food was awful. On our last morning, three different people questioned us about our breakfast voucher. It said to redeem it at Distrik7, which we'd done for two days. That morning, they said we had to go to a banquet room, even though we were already seated with food in front of us. I don't know what they were trying to pull, but it was a clear example of poor service.

Angie at the front desk and Jorge at the conference center were both incredible with customer service. I've encountered a lot of agents in my travels, but Angie was one of the kindest and most proactively helpful. We could easily have been labeled picky customers, but she still treated us so well. She's truly one of a kind. Thank you both for making a difference for us tonight!

There aren't any breakfast options here because the hotel doesn't actually have the food listed on its menu. The hot tub is colder than the swimming pool, even though I told staff about the problem on three separate days. The staff are rude and incompetent. I'll be staying at the Doubletree next time.
