Everhome Suites Somerset - South Brunswick by Choice Hotels

I enjoyed my stay last week, and now I'm back for round two!

Hardwood floors in hotel rooms? A big zero for me.

I was glad to find this hotel, also affiliated with Choice Hotels, after my usual Comfort Inn in NJ was booked up for King Suites. The large suite and in-room washer and dryer were what drew me in. Then, 15 minutes before check-in, I got a call saying my room might not be ready because of a dryer problem. I was really unhappy after booking more than two months ahead and packing with the washer and dryer in mind. They offered a credit. Once I arrived, though, the GM, Victoria, told me they'd fixed it and the room was ready. I was very grateful and relieved. The place is fairly new, nice, and convenient to everything. My room could've been cleaner, possibly because they were rushing after the dryer was fixed, but the staff were friendly and accommodating. There's a small shop inside for snacks and travel necessities, and if your room doesn't have a washer and dryer, there's a laundry room on the first floor. I believe it costs $2.00 per load. The issue I wanted Management to know about was the weed smoking, which isn't the hotel's fault. Groups were outside around the building at all hours, and there was a party down the hall until at least 4am. Weed smell, loud music, and yelling came from the hallway, though I couldn't hear them with my door shut, so I didn't complain. The elevator smelled like weed every night. My only other suggestion is better pillows. They seemed fluffy but flattened as soon as I lay down. Even with three, my head was on the mattress, so a family member brought me better ones for the week. The King Suite had plenty of room and was very comfortable. The staff were friendly, the location was convenient, and I'd stay here again on my next trip. Thank you.

We'd already stayed two days. On the third, a freezing, rainy Saturday, the manager came out and was very nasty, then kicked us out into the cold rain. I'm 64, another person was 63, and the third was 50. We all have disabilities, and we were only $25 short of paying for another night.
