The tower views and the newly remodeled basement really stood out, with its rec room, fitness area, and sauna. Christmas Cove Inn feels like much more than a typical B&B. The shared spaces are bright and roomy but still cozy, and our bedroom and bath were comfortable and well appointed. Alex and Freddie welcomed us warmly and made a great breakfast. It’s off the beaten path, as is South Bristol, and we plan to stay here again when we’re back in the area.

After busy days, it was lovely to return to the peace and comfort of Christmas Cove Inn. We found plenty to do without traveling more than 50 miles: the Botanical Gardens at Boothbay, the L.L.Bean Flagship store, lobster and lighthouse at Southport, lobster rolls, Pemaquid Lighthouse, Rocktown Lighthouse, shopping in Camden, and oysters and breathtaking views along the way. Nearby Damariscotta also has great restaurants, cute shops, and a Pumpkin Festival. Alex and Freddy made breakfast a highlight, with delicious food cooked to order and time to chat with them and the other guests about our adventures.

The tower offers incredible views of the Damariscotta River and Christmas Cove, and you can reach it from inside the inn. There are also spots to sit with a book, write, or watch birds. The hillside location is easy to get to, and the owner-hosts know the area and are friendly. My made-to-order breakfast was hearty, with fresh fruit, an English muffin, and a smoked salmon omelette. The inn is quiet, with lots of places to gather indoors or out on the expansive deck. Each room has a TV with a mind-boggling number of channels and apps, and there’s another for the family room.

Our dogs had a great time playing outside with George until they were completely worn out. The inn welcomed them, and we loved it. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Breakfast was delicious, and they were wonderful about working around my food allergies. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi in our room. Highly recommend!

Be sure to climb to the top of the indoor tower. The views were spectacular. We stayed for two nights in August 2025, and Freddie, Alex, and dog George made us feel very welcome. The rooms were well appointed, and the location worked really well for visiting the S. Bristol area. Breakfast was delicious each morning, with fresh muffins made daily. My husband and I highly recommend this wonderful inn!
