The rooms were simple, but very clean, and we especially liked that there were no rugs. Staff brought extra towels or sheets quickly, and both kids and parents loved the warm chocolate chip cookies each night at 8:00. Starbucks and Moe’s are an easy walk across the parking lot, and the rink is a 10-minute drive away. We’ve stayed at lots of hotels for hockey tournaments, and Windjammer was by far the BEST. They put all our teams in the same hallways and gave us a conference room for the whole weekend at no charge so the kids could play knee hockey. When parents from three teams were winding down in the lobby, staff kindly moved us into a private conference room so we could hang out without bothering anyone. The hospitality was incredible. Huge kudos to the whole team at Windjammer!

We were comfortable in our rooms, and I felt safe there. The hotel also offers currency exchange, which makes sense given how close Burlington is to the Canadian border. Our tour booked us here, and we found the complimentary hot breakfast tasty. It’s smoke-free and pet-friendly, with a snack shop and its own restaurant. Guests can also use free parking and Wi-Fi, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, and other guest-friendly features.

I ate dinner both nights at the Windjammer Restaurant, and the food was excellent. Both servers were courteous, friendly, and very helpful. The front desk team was just as kind and helpful throughout my stay. I was there for two nights while my husband was at UVM Medical, and their shuttle service was a huge help. They took me to and from the hospital whenever I needed, ready to go at a moment’s notice. Thank you to everyone for making my stay as comfortable as possible!

The indoor heated pool was a real highlight, and my room was well kept. I had a single queen room with a microwave and mini fridge, which was a nice surprise. The staff were kind and attentive, and the warm milk and cookies each night were my favorite part. The place has a cozy Christmas movie feel. There’s not much of interest within walking distance, though, and the complimentary breakfast was below par.

I used my Best Western points to book a room for the first night of a holiday trip to Vermont, December 17, 2025. When I checked out on December 18, I asked for a receipt. The clerk said there were no charges because it was a reward night, so they couldn’t print one. Now I see a $40 charge on my credit card dated check-in. It seems sketchy. I’ll call and ask them to reverse it. Watch out for random charges here.
