Green Mountain Suites Hotel

The kids were big fans of the heated indoor pool. It was -5 degrees outside, but the water and pool area still felt warm and comfortable, and the hot tub was a nice extra. Breakfast was better than we expected, especially the bacon, which the kids loved. Our room worked well for our family of five, with a pull-out bed, a place to eat, and a separate bedroom with two full-size beds. The kitchenette had burners, a microwave, dishwasher, fridge, sink, and utensils. Check-in was easy, and everyone at the front desk was friendly. We’ll definitely come back.

We chose this hotel for one night and were glad it had a pool and hot tub, plus a breakfast that was actually decent. The king suite was cozy enough that I could imagine living there. It was spotless, with a white bathroom that didn’t have a mark on it, and everything seemed well maintained. The lounge and its fireplace were cute, too. Check-in was quick, and the woman at reception made us feel welcome. There isn’t much right nearby, though there are restaurants and things to do within a 10-15 minute drive.

The apartment was roomy and very clean, and the shared dining space stayed tidy, warm, and comfortable. My husband worked remotely there during our stay and liked using it. The bed and pillows were really comfortable, and our son said the futon pull-out was the best one he’d slept on. The shower had good heat and pressure. We spent six nights here in November and loved the friendly welcome from the staff, the free parking, and the excellent hot breakfast each morning. There was also an evening reception Tuesday through Thursday. Most of the time our room and hallway were quiet, but during the final two nights we heard what sounded like a herd of elephants running back and forth above us, early in the morning and late afternoon. We couldn’t figure out what was going on, and that was our only complaint. We’d stay again, probably asking for an upper floor next time.

We had a really good family stay. The location in downtown South Burlington was convenient, and we enjoyed the pool, spa, and gym. Breakfast was good overall, though it was the one snag: refills took a while and they ran out of glasses for some time. Aside from that, it was a very good experience.
