Budget Inn Corning

There's plenty of open space to walk around, plus a play area and RV parking. The motel is only a few minutes from the highway and Corning Glass Museum, with camping sites nearby. Under the new management, the Twin, Queen, and King rooms have all been renovated. Staff are friendly and available around the clock, and pet-friendly rooms are offered too.

We lasted about half an hour before leaving and booking another motel. The room smelled strongly of urine, the sheets and carpet were dirty, there was no toilet paper, and the bathroom sink was broken and leaking water into the bedroom. The AC didn't work either. We asked for another room or for someone to fix the problems, but the front desk attendant said no rooms or service were available. She wouldn't come look, and told us we could either stay or book somewhere else. She also said the amenities depended on what we'd paid. A complete waste of money.

We didn't stay. After no more than 20 minutes, our dog spotted what looked like a bed bug on my backpack. We shook our things out outside the door and left, and now I'm paranoid about it. Earlier, my husband had asked for another blanket. When he went with the attendant to get one, he clearly saw a marijuana pipe in the room the attendant opened. The room was filthy and worn out. Dust and dirt covered the place, the table was unstable, and the linens had odd stains. There was black mold and mildew in the shower, and the AC/heating unit was full of dust and who knows what else. This place needs serious attention. I had to give it one star, but to me it was a negative 100. Don't risk your money or your belongings here.

I cancelled and chose not to stay, even though I couldn't get a refund because I hadn't bought the website's warranty. The toilet didn't work, the room wasn't clean, and there was no toilet paper or towels when I arrived. The towels were dirty, and the blankets had cigarette burns despite this being a non-smoking place. I asked to switch rooms, but was told they were booked. I'd spend a little more for somewhere better.
