You step outside and get a beautiful mountain view, and the town itself is small and cute, with what you need and an ice skating area by the town information center. The ski slopes are fairly close, and there's an amazing mountain drive nearby. The cabins are cute, cozy, and a great price, with welcoming service. I felt at home there. They really mean it when they say the cabins are fully stocked: there's a full kitchen, coffee maker, and all the dishes you'll need. Everything worked well, and, like a hotel, they'll replace linens and towels when needed. I'd never stayed in a cabin before, and it felt like a hotel stay, only much better. In winter, he makes a little sledding area for kids and can point you to other hills around town, too. Kent was helpful whenever we had questions or needed anything. Great place for the price.

Wolf Creek is only about 30 minutes away, so this has been a good value for skiing there. We've stayed at Lazy Bear two years running as a less expensive option than Pagosa. The cabins are great, and the employees are really friendly.

We all got our own bed and slept well. The electronic lock also made arriving late easy, since we could let ourselves in without waking anyone. It was a perfect cabin for our Wolf Creek ski trip.

We spent four days here as a family and had no concerns. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of room, and the hot water worked. Management was accommodating and brought fresh towels every other day. Tobi-Wan Kenobi, the dog, was one of the sweetest, most playful dogs I've gotten to spend time with. Great location and excellent management.
