Budget Inn Express

Be careful. This isn’t a vacation destination if you’re going to the lake, and it has bedbugs too. At first we thought we’d brought in a tick because we were in the South, but it definitely wasn’t one. My kid got badly bitten, and we brought the bugs home. The people staying here seemed very shady. The person at the front desk was very rude, like they lived behind the desk or something.

They sprayed chemicals in the rooms. I came back after visiting family and my dog was dead. When I asked what had happened, all of a sudden they couldn’t speak English.

I’d strongly recommend staying away unless you’re okay with bedbugs, roaches and rooms that smell moldy. The beds have metal frames, and the mattress is basically a trailer futon mattress. Unless you’re extremely cheap, don’t waste your time or money!

The bathroom smelled like it hadn’t been cleaned, and there was mold on the walls. Spiders and cobwebs were in almost every corner of the rooms. I stayed around 30 minutes, then finally worked up the nerve to pull back the bedspread. I loaded my things and left right away. Don’t book here.
