The breakfast was good, and the kitchen was very clean. The front desk women were also polite, kind, and professional, and tried their best to help my family and me. But the rest of our three-night stay was awful. We drove from Schenectady NY to South Hill VA for a wedding and booked two rooms, 235 and 237. The outside had dead flowers and rubbish on the ground, and the rooms smelled foul as soon as we entered. There were stains on the microwave, dirty linens, lamps without bulbs, and bathrooms that hadn’t been cleaned. The toilet seat was left on the floor, and I had to put it back and buy supplies to clean the sink and bathroom. There were toenail clippings and trash under the bed. On the second night, I was moved to two different ground-floor rooms near the pool. There was a party on Saturday night, and a front desk man named Seth told me the guests had every right to party and smoke drugs because they paid for a room like I did. I posted photos online, though I’m sure the manager won’t let the public see them. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a dog. The pictures online made it look much cleaner than it was.
