Hampton Inn Lockport - Buffalo

Getting around Buffalo and western NY was easy from here, and the hotel itself was clean. The room had the Elite gifts waiting before we arrived, but some basic housekeeping was missed. Staff played music while cleaning early enough that it could disturb guests trying to rest. I also had some odd problems during this stay: a false fire alarm went off at 4am, and the front desk called at 130am trying to find the owner of a DoorDash order. I booked a double queen room, but both beds felt firmer than beds at other Hampton properties I’ve stayed in across the country. At many Hampton hotels, apple juice has also been taken off the breakfast menu and replaced with a mixed fruit juice cocktail I like much less.

Sasha at reception was really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast space was neat and clean. The rooms were spotless, even the towels had lovely designs, 10/5! Shops are close by, as are some great places for couples to go out to eat. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Bridget was the one professional person I dealt with. She was kind and the only one who seemed to uphold Hilton’s standards. I can’t say the same for the housekeeping manager, who was extremely rude. While I was talking with the front desk about something else, she stopped what she was doing in the dining area and stood right in front of me to listen in. Beware of her and the hotel owner. The owner’s attitude toward complaints felt like she was dealing with her in-laws. She was very unprofessional, couldn’t listen or hold a professional conversation, and told us to leave. Another man, who I believe was her husband or a relative, told us to check out or he’d call the cops without first hearing what our problems were. The customer service was poor, and this hotel is a disgrace to the Hilton brand. If zero stars had been an option, that’s what I would’ve picked.

Sasha at the front desk made me feel welcome. She was especially friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was great, and the amenities were nice. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back. I highly recommend this hotel.
