Clarion Pointe Valley Inn

The room was nice, the location near the interstate was convenient, and they left coffee in the room. I bring an oscillating fan to hotels because of traffic noise, and I wasn’t expecting anything fancy at this price. Still, I’ve had the same basic experience at a nice Wyndham before, so the service problems here are why I won’t use a Clarion again. I’ll be using my other hotel apps from now on. I arrived late, but was told 11:30 was the latest checkout they would allow. They apparently only offer an extra hour if you check in after 1:30 a.m. I’ve been a member since 2014, and that didn’t make a difference. I’ve never had this issue with another hotel. I was also charged twice for the room. I was told one charge was a hold and the actual stay fee, and that the other charge would drop off in a couple of days. No one disclosed before I booked that my card would be charged twice. Having to cover both charges for a few days could be a real problem for someone who can’t afford to pay for two rooms in a week. That’s my honest experience. I hope others have a wonderful stay, and that Clarion can improve its customer service with this feedback. Have a wonderful day, Kimball location.

The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the place was clean. Staff were friendly, the price was fair, and breakfast was decent. It’s close to everything. I’d recommend it and stay again.

The room was clean and easy to get around in with a wheelchair. The desk person noticed that the lamp was faulty and said it should be replaced, but there was nobody available to fix it for us that evening.

We were exhausted, so we stayed the night, but otherwise we would have left. The room had roaches, and the sheets and pillows were dirty. There were blood stains on the mattress and the top cover, too. We definitely won’t be back.
