Good for the price, with restaurants across the street and Portland about a 10-minute drive away. The owner is nice and clearly works hard. It’s a family business. My only qualm is that someone had obviously smoked in my room before. There were burn holes in the sheets, smoke stains on the doors, and a plastic bag over the smoke detector. Other than that, it’s a good motel.

The room was much cleaner than nearly any hotel I’ve stayed in before. I even did a “white glove” check on the tops of doorways, pictures, and the headboard, expecting dust, but found nothing. It was a little outdated, but that was fine by me. The woman in the main office was super nice and helpful. We came looking for a motel near the area after going to a Mahali concert, since all the nearby hotels were booked. I’d been wary and expected something like “The Bates Motel,” but opening the door to a super clean room changed my mind. I give it five stars and will stay here again if I’m back in the area.

The staff are amazing, understanding, and help however they can. The rooms could use just a little paint, but otherwise this is a great place for weekly rates.

For the money, this is such a deal. My room had two double beds and was plenty big, with two tables, a bedside table, a chest of drawers, and a long shelf for storage. I was also surprised to find a mini fridge and microwave. Everything was immaculate, and the room was clean and quiet. The man and woman in the office were extremely nice, whether they own the place or just manage it. My last hotel cost only $10 less and had a room a quarter this size, plus extremely rude front desk staff. I’d definitely recommend this place.

There were no bugs or dirty sheets, and the bathroom was very clean and disinfected. I felt clean after my shower, unlike at some other hotel chains. The owners are on the premises, which is nice for extra security, especially on that side of Portland. They also let my visiting daughter bring her emotional support animal into the property and room without hassle or an extra cleaning charge. The room and bedding were dated, and it reminded me of a place you’d rent after prom. The old-carpet smell mixed with strong cleaning supplies was kind of sickening after 12 hours, and I was ready to check out. It was okay for a last-minute booking. Whether I’d choose this motel again depends on the rate and how desperate I was.
