Sea Rose

Waking up to that sunrise over the water was amazing, and the bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up. The Sea Rose has wonderfully roomy accommodations overlooking Danforth Cove, where schooners, boats, and cruise ships pass by. In the evenings, I loved watching the water and hearing the waves lap. My stay felt quiet, private, and restful. The hosts were only a text away when needed, but otherwise I hardly noticed them. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. I’m looking forward to visiting again.

In late summer, be ready for little flies. They were intense. The check-in arrangements felt odd: I was supposed to set a time by text, missed it, and had to check in by phone. I never saw anyone there. It’s a beautiful old house with a view to die for. I fell asleep to the sound of waves, and the lighthouse lights added to the charm. Very quiet, too.

A century-old house full of history, now a hotel or guest house, with stunning views of two lighthouses and water stretching between them. You can see it from every room, even the bathroom, and watching the sunrise from bed is so motivating. The host was friendly and accommodating, and the bedroom was comfortable and well appointed. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to others.

We loved our stay so much that we were sad to leave. The host was wonderful, and his gorgeous home made the whole visit relaxing, beautiful, serene, friendly, idyllic, and beyond memorable. We felt like family. We’ll be back, and can’t wait. As much as I’d like to keep this place to myself so I can book whenever, the host and home deserve the credit.
