Southampton Inn

If you’re staying with children, they have adjoining rooms available. The staff took excellent care of everyone at the event I held there and met all of our needs. I’d highly recommend hosting an event and staying overnight at the Southampton inn.

We had a spacious, very nice room for Valentine’s Day weekend, and the hotel is close to everything. At check-in, the staff welcomed us with a lovely gift bag. Looking forward to returning in the summer.

The noise made it impossible for us to get a restful night. We were woken every morning by doors slamming 5-10 times or lawn work starting at 8:20 AM, and there was loud talking and yelling at night. We later learned the hotel has no quiet hours. When we called the front desk, the staff member didn’t even know what quiet hours were, and I had to explain. For what this costs, save your money and stay somewhere more worthwhile. We won’t be back. If you like sleep, stay away. Our room was clean, but outdated and only reachable by a steep staircase. By chance, we met the housekeeping manager, who was kind and offered to carry our suitcases upstairs. That’s when we found out guests could ask for luggage help, which the front desk hadn’t mentioned. The front desk staff we encountered were rude, unfriendly, and surprisingly uninformed about basic hotel operations. We were told at check-in that our room wouldn’t be ready until 4 PM, so we waited by the pool, but no one explained the amenities, towels, or poolside service. They offered to hold our bags, but when we weren’t comfortable leaving them unattended in the lobby until staff could put them away, we got a lot of attitude. The misleading positive reviews and poor communication made for a deeply disappointing stay.

We went to an event at Southampton Inn last night and had a great time. It’s fabulous, highly recommend!
