The room noise is the problem. I could hear people next door talking, coughing, and using the facilities, so getting a good night’s sleep was hard. Hall doors are loud too, though that part is expected. It’s a shame because the recent remodel looks great, with an African inspired theme, distinctive colors, a central bar, small restaurant, lobby seating area, and library lounge. The open food area is gone, and the new spaces are elegant with nice ambiance. Staff and service were excellent. We’ve stayed here under the previous ownership, and the location remains convenient for area attractions with excellent parking. Still, room soundproofing seems to have been overlooked, despite the remodeling investment. The nice rooms and decor don’t help much when you can’t rest.

I was in town for work and chose this Marriott property. Check in was simple, and the app offered a mobile key. The staff were welcoming and helpful with my questions. The room was modern and clean, with a fridge and snacks and drinks for purchase. It also had two included bottles of water and a Lavazza coffee machine. I didn’t use it, but it looked clean and easy to operate. The gym was a decent size with a good amount of equipment, and the restaurant and bar had good food and drink options. I’d stay here again.

From the outside, this hotel looks pretty low key, but it really delivers. I’ve traveled for work through about 12 cities in the past year, and this was the best hotel I’ve stayed in. The rooms were fabulous, with spacious bathrooms, comfortable beds, and robes, which I love. We also spent one rainy day getting work done in the lobby. There was lots of seating, and they brought drinks over to the couches, a perfect end to a rough day. The hotel’s speakeasy was way better than we expected, with great drinks, a wonderful atmosphere, and an incredible live singer. The male concierge had also recommended an Italian restaurant across the freeway in Downtown Southlake, and the food and service were both great. When I was rushing to check in and pick up coworkers at the airport, the concierge got me checked in within five minutes and gave me the key so I could leave my bags in the room. It was early check in, too. The back patio has a pool, cabanas, and fire pits, but we didn’t get to enjoy it because of the weather. The location near Downtown Southlake was great for bars, restaurants, and shopping. There’s also a Starbucks and steakhouse in the same plaza, about a three minute walk away. Wish all my hotels were like this!

Gracie and Daniel saved my trip. I left my key fob on top of my truck while visiting, then realized at my next stop that I couldn’t restart it. I called the office, and they quickly checked the parking lot and found it, probably saving me several hundred dollars. That kind of service is hard to find, and I’m so grateful they went out of their way to help. I’m opening a business in the area, and it’s nice to see this level of customer care. I’ll tell everyone I know about this place. Gracie and Daniel deserve a raise!

A smaller Autograph Collection stop, but the decor, location, and quality of the rooms make it a nice place to stay. Rates are reasonable for the area, too.
