We’d stayed here before and had such a lovely first trip, with two rooms booked for a week, that we were eager to book again. I asked whether there was a sofa bed for my toddler, since she won’t sleep on a pop-up cot without a mattress. They said the King ADA room had one, which sounded perfect. Then they told me using it would cost $60 a night, or $240 for our four-night stay. I checked whether she could sleep on the couch without a fee, but pulling it out into a bed would still cost $240. The explanation was “linens and housekeeping.” I could buy ten sets of linens and pay my house cleaners to clean the whole room for less than that. I’ve seen a few other low reviews for the same reason. They said there were no exceptions and no flexibility, which was astonishing after we’d booked two rooms before. From another review, it seems this may be purely for revenue. What a shame, since we would have kept coming back for life.

Even in winter, watching the waves roll in with snow outside and a good book was spectacular. The rooms were spacious and clean, with beautiful views and a large soaking tub. The staff at Hotel Moraine were extremely helpful and kind, always recommending restaurants in town and checking whether they were open, since Google wasn’t always accurate during the holidays. We loved our stay and will definitely visit again.

We rented the entire Hotel Moraine in Greenport, New York, for our September 2025 wedding, and the experience was fantastic from beginning to end. The setting is stunning, but the care and service from the team are what really set the place apart. Every staff member went above and beyond to make our families and guests feel welcome and looked after all weekend. The hotel’s natural beauty and the thoughtful service made the wedding feel incredibly special. For both the setting and the experience, I feel confident calling it the best hotel on the North Fork. I’d highly recommend it for a relaxing stay or a special event.

We live in Suffolk County on Long Island, but a stay at Hotel Moraine made us feel like we were on a dream vacation, worlds away. We’d booked the King Terrace room for our anniversary, August 7-11, 2025, and can’t wait to return. The property was immaculate and even more gorgeous in person than in the online photos, with breathtaking terrace views. The whole team was welcoming, but Tamarra and Juan went above and beyond, making sure we had what we needed and checking in with such genuine warmth. The hospitality was second to none. We loved the Thursday through Saturday Happy Hour from 5-7, and two nights had live music overlooking the Long Island Sound. The sunsets, views, and music made a lively but relaxed end to each day, with a real North Fork feel. The food and drinks were just as memorable: lobster roll, flatbread pizzas, cold local Greenport brews, and some of the best margaritas we’ve had. It was a wonderful mix of luxury, comfort, and North Fork charm, and I’d recommend Hotel Moraine to anyone.
