The rooms are older motel-style rooms, but they're very clean. The owner is a nice guy, a retired union laborer, and he also has a campground. Rates are reasonable, and if you're working nearby, it's a good place to stay.

Mike keeps the place running well. My Friday night stay was good, everything was neat and very clean, and I slept well in the comfortable bed. We'll come back.

After my vehicle broke down in East Saint Louis, Mike Turner helped me figure out what to do. He suggested a local mechanic, Ernie, who diagnosed and fixed the problem. With no vehicle, I needed rides for food and cash, and Mike drove me around for gas money. He even took me to the airport for my trip home. That kind of support between Mike and Ernie brought back memories of the small town where I grew up.

We felt safe at this campground, and it was quiet and very clean. When our air conditioning quit in 113-degree heat and humidity, Mike got someone on the phone and we were cooling down within 90 minutes. He's accommodating and understanding, and the person he called got the problem sorted quickly. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stay here.
