Holiday Inn Express Spokane Downtown by IHG

Charlye at the front desk greeted me with real warmth and care. She was genuinely concerned with making sure my whole stay went perfectly. She’s remarkable and a bright spot for guests. I’ll come back because she made me feel so looked after.

We came to town for a play, and it was convenient to be just a 5 minute trip from the venue back to our room. There were lots of food options nearby too. My husband booked the Gonzaga suite, with two TVs, a comfortable bed, and several chairs around the second TV. The shower is big enough for two, but there’s a lip of about 3 in. to step over, so keep that in mind if you have mobility limitations. There’s a built-in seat, though it’s cold tile, so I’d suggest putting a small towel on it. Lovely stay all around. Thanks to Maria for doing such a good job cleaning the room!

Parking is easy and free, and getting to the hotel by car via Division St. is straightforward. It’s a great location within walking distance of Spokane Arena and other event venues. The hill gives you some decent views, and the building looks cool from the outside. The rooms are clean and well maintained, though pretty standard for a Holiday Inn Express. Breakfast was typical for the brand. No complaints, and I’d stay again.

The building has a nice “chateau style” look, and the location makes it easy to explore Spokane on foot. The staff are all super friendly, and my spacious room had a newly renovated shower, a really good bed, and even a small balcony. At night you can grab homemade cookies and milk, which is a sweet touch. Breakfast the next morning had so many items I couldn’t try them all. One of the best value-for-money stays I’ve had in a long time. A really great stop if you’re traveling through Spokane!
