Best Western Merry Manor Inn

The outdoor heated pool was a real treat during the snowstorm. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and check-in was easy as always. The beds are comfortable, too. We always have a wonderful, easy stay. Thanks!

It’s rare for a rental room to feel this welcoming, but this place had a special kind of energy. The decor and atmosphere felt like home, the staff were friendly, and everything was immaculately clean. I spent three hours sitting in the massage chair in my room. There’s also a hot tub and heated pool, plus a great breakfast spread with fresh fruit, yogurt and toppings, pancakes, eggs, and Silk. This makes my list of the top five hotels I’ve stayed in.

The staff were great, and breakfast was a highlight. I liked being able to use the coffee machine in the lounge, since the coffee maker in the room made poor coffee. Breakfast was amazing, and nearby restaurants were easy to get to. The scenery felt a little desolate and iffy, though. For what we paid, I think we overpaid for the options, but you may find a better rate on other websites. Our room had a basic fridge, microwave, and single-cup coffee maker. The bed was very stiff for my wife and me, and the small square pillows were hit or miss. My wife ended up sleeping in the lounge chair because she found it more comfortable. The bathroom was cramped and not well thought out. The room could use an upgrade: the wall was cracked, the base molding was split and knocked loose, the caulk by the bathroom sink was missing and the back molding was pulling away from the sink and counter. The ceiling fan was hanging loosely from a drop ceiling tile and felt like it might come down. The worst part was our ground-floor location. The parking was right beside our bedroom window, and someone parked there and got in and out of their vehicle 35 times over about an hour while we were trying to relax and watch TV. That made for a very unpleasant evening. The hotel would be five out of five for me if a few small things were fixed.

We had fun during our October stay. The property is in a good spot, the rooms are cozy and in good condition, parking is free, and I loved the spa and the staff. The breakfast area is much too small, though. I know that may be hard to improve.
