Holiday Inn Express Spokane Airport by IHG

This was our second stay at the Spokane Airport Holiday Inn Express in 10 days, this time on the way home. We had a 05:00 am flight and arranged a 03:30 am shuttle. That let us return our rental car a day early and save some money. Jeanna was ready to go right at 03:30 am, and the coffee was ready too. Jeanna and Josh were both friendly and helpful. We’d stay here again if we get the chance.

The staff are kind and welcoming, the beds are comfortable, and the room is really nice. The area is quiet, which I appreciated. I’ve stayed here twice and think it’s a really nice place. Breakfast is okay. My one complaint is that the showers are very slippery. Maybe it’s something they use to clean them? I’d still recommend the hotel.

The room was clean, and everything in the accessible room worked as it should. The TV channels were okay, but there’s no casting option, so watching your own shows or movies means dealing with commercials every 6 minutes. Delivery food choices are good, downtown is close, and it’s 8 minutes from the airport at 3am. There was no hot water at all, not even close, when we tried at 6pm, midnight, or 3am before leaving. That’s a real letdown for someone traveling on a tight schedule. The halls were also extremely loud for hours, even though our room was nowhere near the pool.

We’re here for a week to collect our household belongings before the long drive across the country, and the staff have made a difficult stretch much easier. They’re all knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and kind. The man who runs breakfast is amazing, and the rest of the staff have been great too. Other hotels could learn a lot from how this place is run. Don’t miss the jacuzzi!
