Grand Hotel

The theater on the main floor was such a fun surprise, and guests can use it for free. We missed the complimentary breakfast, but having it available at a privately owned hotel says a lot about the care they put into the place. Everything was immaculate, and the owner and staff all went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We’re hoping this will soon be our hometown, and we’ll absolutely come back. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Breakfast was good, even if the selection was smaller than at many hotels. Hardees and mcdonalds are both an easy walk away, too. In the morning, the whole place smelled like waffles cooking. Our room was spotless, and the staff were so nice. We didn’t get to see the theater, but it looked really cool. I’d definitely stay again.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. The bed and recliner were both really comfortable, and the shower had good pressure and nice hot water. I still need to try the little theater at the hotel. Neat idea.

The one thing to be aware of is the busy railroad line across the street. I’m used to living near tracks, so it didn’t bother me, though it could bother other guests. At checkout we suggested moving the in-room coffee maker and ice bucket out of the bathroom and onto the desk or dresser. Otherwise, the room and all the shared spaces were immaculate, the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Housekeeping deserves credit for that.
