The price is what brought this down to a three for me. I've stayed at several Holiday Inn Express locations, and this same basic room is usually in the low hundreds after tax. Here it cost over $200. I've stayed in four- and five-star hotels with bigger, better rooms for less. Maybe they were taking advantage of people in difficult situations after winter storm Fern, but I can't say for sure. I definitely won't stay here again. The location is fair, with quick access to lots of local restaurants and stores, many within walking distance, in a fast-growing part of Spring Hill. The room was generally very clean and most things seemed fairly new, though there were small maintenance issues that could become problems, like rust on access panels and poor grout in the bathroom. Front desk staff were friendly enough, and breakfast was standard Holiday Inn Express fare.

After 13 years as an IHG member and probably 500 nights of business and personal stays, this hotel and IHG have lost my loyalty. I had a personal trip booked with reward points, then my plans changed and I couldn't make it. The IHG app gave me no option to cancel. A week later, the hotel returned my points and charged the card on file for one night's no-show. I wasn't disputing the no-show; I only wanted them to keep the points instead of charging my card. When I contacted the hotel, they sent me to IHG, and IHG sent me back to the hotel. Both blamed each other for a contradictory “policy,” and neither followed up as promised. In the end I had to pay for that night. Shame on this hotel and IHG. I hope that one night was worth ending my loyalty. Hilton Honors, you've gained a member.

We had a very nice updated room, and the service was friendly both at check-in and check-out. Breakfast was delicious, though we had to wait for coffee and some items to be refilled at 8:45. There are local restaurants within walking distance, and plenty of room to park work vehicles. Very happy with our stay.

We've been on the road for over a week, and this was the nicest place we've stayed so far. It was clean, the staff were nice, and the updated hotel had a good variety at the free breakfast. We'd definitely stay again if we're in the area.

We had a great stay and breakfast, with really good service. I'd stay here again when I'm back in this little town in the Tennessee hills.
