The Hewitt Wellington Hotel

Our room had a balcony overlooking the lake, and we could even glimpse the Ocean in the distance between the hotels. Deeann welcomed us at the front desk and was friendly and helpful from the start. The whole visit was lovely, from arrival to departure. Breakfast the next morning was continental, but the food was delicious and good quality. The hotel was spotless, and it has a restaurant that's run as a separate entity. We were very happy with our choice of this nice little Boutique Hotel.

In winter we spent one night in Room 26, a small apartment-like place on the third floor, after a late dinner reservation because we didn't want to drive home. It was clean and quiet, and we had control over our own heat. Staff welcomed us warmly, and parking was available on the street or in a small lot. The bathroom had all the amenities, including makeup remover and a makeup towel. There was a small complimentary continental breakfast in the morning, though it wasn't my favorite. I'd like to see what the place is like in summer.

A quaint hotel from the mid-1890s, with modern rooms and bathrooms. The front desk staff were very helpful, and there's a restaurant attached. Just know there's no elevator for the second- and third-floor rooms. It's BYOB, with no bar.

Even during the off-season the hotel was pretty full, but you'd never know it. It was so quiet and relaxing. I felt lucky to spend a long weekend enjoying the local area at this little boutique hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and it had everything I needed. I can't wait to visit again when the weather warms up.
