The Shoreline Hotel

The Captain's Quarters on the top floor made a dreamy wedding-weekend suite for my sister. She and her vendors had room to get ready, with lake views all weekend, and the spacious layout was practical as well as lovely to photograph. She and her new spouse stayed there after the wedding, too. After the rehearsal dinner, my sister and I had a sleepover in the suite. The huge kitchen and dining area meant we could stock up on Lunds & Byerly's snacks, breakfast, lunches, treats, and drinks, so we were all set for the weekend. Cabana Anna's is right downstairs, and the staff there were so sweet. We love the Shoreline Hotel and were so glad we picked it for her wedding weekend. It would be great for a staycation or a destination stay.

Dinner at Cabana Anna’s was a highlight. The food and drinks were delicious, and the lakeside setting made it easy to linger and enjoy the evening. My room looked out over Lake Minnetonka and had a private deck. Mornings with coffee, watching boats pass on the water, were a lovely way to slow down. The room was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with a boutique feel that’s hard to find locally. The hotel has a peaceful atmosphere, and the lake views are especially beautiful at sunset. It felt like a quiet hidden gem for a lakeside staycation close to the Twin Cities. I left rested and inspired, and already want to return.

The December sunrise over the frozen lake was magical, and the location is spectacular. The hotel’s thoughtful design really shows in the rooms and restaurant. We had dinner and breakfast, and both were delicious and full of flavor. Everyone we met was kind and genuine. It felt like a breath of fresh air after chain hotels at every level. Book now!

Natalie treated us like family, and Rebel even set up a shell hunt for our kids, who are 4 and 6. The beach was beautiful and relaxing, with life vests, buckets, shovels, and beach towels for them. It all felt magical. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday, and the team thoughtfully upgraded our room. It was cozy, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The lake views were stunning, and the food was delicious. I’d especially recommend the Wallet Sandwich. I also loved having a choice of light or dark roast coffee in the morning. We had an amazing stay and can’t wait to come back. Thanks, Shoreline Hotel team!
