Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston North/Spring

The price was fair, and I’ll return. My room was clean and the AC got as cold as I like it. I accidentally left a blanket behind, and the staff kindly set it aside so I could pick it up.

Parking is awful, and the rooms are dirty and smell like cigarettes. The mattress has a huge hole in it, like it’s been there since the ’80s. Terrible place to stay. Don’t go there!

The location is convenient, and everyone from management to the housekeepers was really kind. The rooms were clean, and the manager looks after the people who look after him.

I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels, but this was by far my worst and most dishonest experience. They charged extra fees that were never disclosed when I booked, and staff lied straight to my face. When I tried to sort it out with them, they were rude and dismissive and wouldn’t take responsibility. The advertised Sunday-to-Thursday special wasn’t honored. They charged me the full day-to-day rate from Sunday night through Wednesday night, then acted as if they’d made a mistake by forgetting to charge Thursday, even though Thursday was supposed to be included in the special. They tried to get me to pay for an extra day. There were excuses but no apology. Calling corporate didn’t get me real help or the special shown in the image attached to this review. It felt like they treated overcharging as normal business. Save yourself the frustration and stay far away from this location, or any Days Inn if this is how they treat paying customers. It’s sad how hotels like this can upset guests in situations like this, making it hard to calmly and accurately explain what happened. Keep that in mind.
