Fairfield Inn N Stes Marriott

We’re grateful for how kindly the hotel treated our family, and we’ll be back. Renovations are coming up, but through this transition the staff were helpful and understanding. Jay at the front desk, the housekeeping staff, the woman who prepares breakfast, and GM Sean were all so nice and clearly focused on taking care of guests.

There’s a little freeway noise in the room, though it’s quiet inside otherwise. The hotel is right by I 45, which makes the location convenient, especially for nearby corporate offices like HPE. The rooms are good and parking is free. Breakfast is the usual English breakfast, with around 4-5 items such as oats, bread, eggs, and Corn Flakes.

I’m a Platinum Elite member and needed a convenient night before an international flight. This was probably the worst Fairfield I’ve stayed in. The room smelled like sweaty socks sprayed with bleach. The toilet kept running all night and rocked, and the AC controls had a dead display, so it swung from muggy heat to an arctic blast. There were no hot breakfast items in the morning. When I asked where they were, I was told “that person wasn’t here.” I’d strongly recommend avoiding this location.

We usually stay with another brand when we travel here, but decided to try Marriott. We didn’t hear about the “renovations” until we were already on our way. The hotel itself doesn’t look like it’s being renovated, but the laundry service was unavailable, the hot tub didn’t work, and the TV cut out at times. Weekend service was also unhelpful at points. I stood at the counter for a few minutes and had to say “excuse me” several times before the attendant, five feet away and scrolling on her phone, noticed me. I was very disappointed. I may try Marriott again, but definitely not this hotel.
