Hampton Inn & Suites Springboro/Dayton Area South

We stopped here during a family drive, and the pool was clean and a hit with my kids. The rooms were spotless and smelled great, with a roomy bathroom and a shower that worked well for a bigger guy like me. Breakfast was a nice bonus, and the hours gave us plenty of time to enjoy it. Ashley and Jenny were especially welcoming, always greeting us with smiles and checking whether we needed anything else.

Breakfast was very good, with lots to choose from, including several kinds of hot drinks. The staff answered my questions and concerns promptly. Our room was spacious and had an unusual layout; the bathroom was just okay, and the tub bottom felt rough underfoot, like it hadn’t been cleaned very well. Still, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend the place.

I booked the wrong date by accident, a week ahead, and called Hampton Inn as soon as the confirmation came through. They said they couldn’t help. Expedia told me the hotel had to approve a refund, then called Hampton Inn again and spoke with the manager, but nothing changed. I see other people have had this problem too. If I could give zero stars, I would. I don’t recommend Hampton Inn.

We’ve stayed here several times while visiting friends and family nearby. The rooms seem to have been refreshed since our last visit, with newer looking carpets and more contemporary furniture. Breakfast was good and in line with what you’d expect at Hampton properties. As a Lifetime Hilton Honors Diamond member, I’ve stayed in many Hampton Inns around the country over the decades, and this one has the consistent accommodations and service level I appreciate. It sits right by I-75, though, and trucks are especially noticeable heading uphill northbound. You’ll hear road noise, which usually doesn’t bother me, but it’s worth knowing. A good place overall, and I’d recommend staying here.
