The service was the standout for me. I arrived hours before check-in just to confirm my booking, and the front office team let me check in early and gave me a complimentary upgrade as a Platinum member. They were also happy to arrange a late checkout. The grounds crew, housekeeping, and front office staff all did a great job. People seem to expect a Portfolio collection property to look like the Ritz, but these hotels are in iconic locations, and Red Cliffs Lodge certainly is. The room looked excellent, with nice decor and a super plush, comfortable bed. The setting is another big plus, just minutes from Zion’s front gate, tucked under red rock cliffs with incredible views all around. I’d recommend it and would come back.

We’ve stayed here three times and love it. The room was clean and really nice, and the location gives you easy access to Zion National Park. The staff are friendly and helpful. When my three-year-old daughter wandered off and got lost, all the staff who were available searched for her and found her quickly. We were so relieved.

I’m a travel advisor, and I don’t plan to recommend this property to clients. We asked for a feather free room, but the request was ignored. At 11 PM we had to strip the bed ourselves, then wait an hour for all new bedding. My husband killed three roaches in the room, and there was hair throughout the uncleaned bathroom. For what they charge per night, these conditions are pretty shameful. When my husband told the staff at checkout, the employee didn’t seem to care and didn’t apologize for any of it. Now we’re worried we brought roaches home.

The location is good, but that's about all it has going for it. It's an average hotel that charges for parking, and even Marriott gold members don't get free breakfast. The pool isn't heated, despite what some people are posting, and the highly promoted views are available from every hotel in the area for half the price. Nothing special here. Don't waste your money.

I was pleasantly surprised by the renovated hotel and how nice the rooms were. The friendly staff, lobby, restaurant, and bar all made a great impression, and I’d highly recommend staying here. The only tiny drawback was that the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up. A male problem only. :)
