Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place Hotel

Diana at the front desk gave me the best hotel check-in experience I’ve ever had. She was professional, friendly, and incredibly kind. She helped with my requests, upgraded me based on my status, and made sure I knew about the perks that came with it. I wish everyone on staff were like Diana.

I’m a Southwest flight attendant, and this is one of my favorite hotels because the staff are always welcoming and helpful. Tonight, after a 13 hour workday, my iPhone charger broke and every nearby store was closed by the time I finished. Luckily, Apollo was working. When I explained what happened, he offered me his own charger so my phone would have enough power to get me through the night. He was so sweet and generous. Sheraton is lucky to have him. Thanks again, Apollo. If you visit, please show him some love.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and I know they can’t do much about sound passing through the walls. Still, the walls were so thin that I could hear every move my neighbor made and nearly join her conversation, even though she wasn’t speaking loudly. I could hear her over the TV. When she banged hard on the adjoining door, it startled me. I answered from my room that I could hear her whole conversation and she could have asked civilly for me to turn down the volume. I even told her the topic to make my point. She didn’t answer, but spoke more quietly after that. About half the outlets didn’t work, so check them if you need to charge your phone overnight. This was a pretty bad stay at this Sheraton, and I value my sleep too much to keep choosing this line. The buildings are older, and the noise issue is a real problem.

I can’t wait to come back to Springfield. The MVP lounge food was amazing and the drinks were right on point. The staff were the best I’ve encountered at any hotel, just phenomenal.
