East Hampton Art House Bed & Breakfast

We only had one night, but it was a really fun stay. The owners are working artists, with very different styles and studios in separate wings of their big home. They made time to show us their impressive work, and hearing about their creative differences made the visit especially enjoyable. We also loved the beautiful gardens and hammocks. They lent us beach passes, and the private beaches were pristine and a lot of fun. Breakfast was terrific, and even after checkout they invited us to use the bikes and stay around the house for a few more hours. We had a great time with such kind hosts.

The gardens, trails, sculptures, greenery, and imported artifacts make the grounds feel wonderfully serene. From our veranda we had exceptional views of it all. My wife and I stayed one night in the Master Suite and Spa Room, where highlights included the steam room, sauna, rain shower, and Shiatsu Jacuzzi. The fresh breakfast from the staff and access to Clearwater Beach were lovely extras. Michael and Rosalind were warm and enthusiastic hosts who made us feel at home. They're also talented artists and sculptors, with personal studios in the villa and amazing work to see. We had a wonderful Art House Villa B&B experience in East Hampton, and I'd highly recommend staying at The Art House.

Breakfast was cooked to order and both meals were sumptuous and delicious. The friendly staff keep the whole place spotless, with obvious care. My wife and I usually choose five-star hotels, and The Art House felt just as special, though tucked into a rural neighborhood. Our Master Spa room was spacious but cozy, with a fireplace, sauna, two-person jacuzzi, and a view of the spectacular meditation garden. The owners are the real treat. Michael and Rosalind invited us to tour their studio in the other wing, as they do for all guests. They're world-class artists and sculptors who speak with real passion about their work and are happy to share how they create. The stay was both a relaxing retreat and a cultural adventure.

The hosts, Rosalind and Michael, and their deep passion for art and making sure guests enjoy what they've created made the stay feel complete. The gardens are stunning and meditative, the pool is beautiful, and the art is superb. With lovely staff, a great breakfast, and a very clean place, this was far more than a getaway. Spectacular, soulful, and awe-inspiring, more than I imagined.
